John K. must have anal, penile, nasal and body fluid fixations. I cannot
believe a grown man would think that this new R&S, on America's Network
for Men, would appeal to anyone but 12 & 13 year old "men". For god
sakes how many more jizz, booger, blood and shit jokes will be crammed
into future new episodes. And when do we actually get to see Ren stick
his penis into Stimpy's ass? We get it, they're gay!

Aside from the obvious incessant scatological references, the "humor" is
so slowly paced and repetitive as to be sleep inducing.

It's a good thing that Stimpy has so few lines of dialog, as Eric
Bauza's impression of Billy West's Stimpy is poor to say the least.

John K. took the opportunity to do an uncensored R&S way to far. He
could have taken the chance to make us laugh again. Instead, the 12 year
old "man" inside him heard the voices of ca-ca and pee-pee telling him
what to do.

This is what an unleashed John K. can produce?? What a disappointment!

Did you see those faces, the character animation, the slapstick? It's not
about the plot, it's about how many nasty gags you can get into the show,
and this show had more than any of the old ones, even the first 2 seasons.
Those facial expressions are classic and awesome. This was a great show. It
was beautiful, and I don't care if there were gay gags in it. They were as
funny as the rest. That was a real CARTOON.

You want to see a piece of shit cartoon? Look at the load of crap that came
on after it, The rat thing, and now this Pam Anderson piece of shit on now..
That sucks, not the R&S Show.

I hope this show goes on and on, and I don't care how long the episodes
take, as long as they were as good as this one was.

No, that's a big waste of time. Grossout gags just for their own sake
are empty. If I wanted to watch pointless grossout I'd watch "Rugrats"
instead. The classic R&S ep had "Space Madness" had what I love the most of
R&S, compelling manias. Ren's Space Madness, Stimpy's fixation on the button,
absoluting enthralling, and worth your time more than anything else. There
was nothing compelling about the dinner scene.

How about watch a few more episodes before jumping to conclusions so
quickly? I agree that the content was pretty extreme, but to me, it was
still your typical Spumco humor. Congrats on letting John K. have total
freedom!

Sure, it was extreme. Extremely stupid!

I agree, I can't believe I waited all this time for this pant load of
an episode. It was like game one of the world series and my team lost
30-0, that's how I felt after watching this. I'll give them a few more
episodes to produce some funny stuff.

You are obviously not GETTING the joke. they ARE NOT gay.... it's a
little deeper than you think. Eric Bauza does a much better Stimpy
than Billy West did a Ren. John K is the more important guy to have
back in all respects.
West was an asshole after John got fired. He didn't support him in any
way and even went on talk shows saying how he (West) came up with the
Ren voice....what an ass! Hearing Billy West take over on Ren was very
hard to listen to.

Any true R&S fan of the first 2 seasons on Nick should love these. I
hope they do another space madness/ stimpy's invention type one as
well. John K has said they are his favorites. You won't find any other
cartoon being made with such amazing animation and polish.

R&S has always been about grossness (they did it way before south park
and beavis), but they also have the drama and odd story line to go
along for the ride.

I'm slipping out of lurk mode to say PREACH IT, BROTHA!! Honestly, the
animation was as good as ever. And for those of you whining about how John K.
must not be the genius you thought he was,can you honestly say every single
John K. Nickelodeon episode was a true classic? They all had their moments,
but there are only a handful I can say are absolute gems, mostly due to Ren's
inspired rants (Sven Hoek, Space Madness, Man's Best Friend, and Stimpy's
Invention, to be specific). How do you know he doesn't have more of those left
in him based on this one episode? As for the slow spots some people have
complained about, it's one of his signature tension-building devices fer
chrissakes! Maybe it wasn't used to best effect in last night's episode, but
c'mon, give the guy a break before crucifying him.

The real Ren is back!!!

That's an interesting point. I hope this is not the case, because I was
laughing my ass off.
K's kind of an asshole, a brilliant asshole, but he just might do something
like that.

My thought while watching this ep was that JK now hates R&S, wants to move
on to
new things, and is producing shows like this to kill off this cartoon once
and
for all. Robert Crumb has done similar things to some of his characters.
Why
else treat your own creations so shabbily?

Very interesting, I was thinking that too while I watched in horror.
Is he sabotaging Ren & Stimpy subconsciously? Those artist types are
emotional wrecks, and it's VERY possible.
But you give him too much credit by saying it may be a conscious
decision to move on - it's definitely not a rational decision.

People have done this before, built up a big fan base then turned
their creation to shit and continued to crank out turd after turd for
years, kind of rolling in the shit and saying "fuck you world". It's
pathetic and fucking loser-ass stupid. Just know that "I" know what
you're doing JohnK and the stupid fucking jackass joke you are playing
is only being swallowed by the idiots. Wear your crown, king of
fools. Or grow up, apologize and have the master burned.

You hated the episode and yet you just suggest the most dumbtarded
hackneyed idea as an alternative.
I have to agree. I have always been a big R&S fan and was excited about
the
return. I think that the show revolutionized cartoon making, look at all
the R&S rip offs out there. I don't understand why he premiered the show
with this episode. I figured he would have a big comeback show, maybe
gather all the old characters together. The fact that he premiered the
show
with this episode leads me to believe that the rest will probably be the
same.... but I hope not. I also thought that the voices were off.

Shabbily?

Help me Webster, you're my only hope ;)

R&S is great, get over your hate of gay and you'll think it's funny...
you don't think the older ones had gay references as well? They sleep
together and bathed each other way before this, but they are cartoons
for MEN (and some women too)
